Auditions for NEW students for the 2019-2020 year will be ongoing throughout July and August via video recording.

All musicians will prepare AND record the following:

TWO contrasting pieces (one fast, one slow). Suggestions: movement from a standard concerto or a solo piece

Each selection should be no more than 3 minutes in length.

Also, record a chromatic scale of at least 2 octaves AND record 2 scales- F major, Eb minor

Tips for success:

  • Make sure nothing is obstructing your camera’s view of you or your instrument while recording

  • Review the recording to ensure the best clarity and adequate volume

  • Upload your video recording to YouTube. Video files submitted in other formats will not be accepted.

  • During upload, select the “Unlisted” privacy option. This allows you to still share the video link with us without making the video viewable to the public.

  • Please limit the recording to no more than 10 minutes total. Either record in ONE take, or edit clips together.
