The Claflin Hill Youth Symphonies performed a free concert at the Memorial Hall in Melrose in conjunction with the Napa Valley Youth Symphony. This outreach concert provided a fabulous opportunity that reinforces that power of music as a community building tool and as a vehicle for crossing borders and boundaries. 

Based in Napa, California, the Napa Valley Youth Symphony was established in 2002.  When they planned a trip to Boston and Montreal, they contacted Claflin Hill and invited our students to join them on stage.  

Although we only met their students briefly, the event made lasting impressions on all involved.
